The Akira class made its on-screen debut in Star Trek: First Contact with the USS Thunderchild NCC-63549, going on to feature in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Star Trek: Prodigy. Created as a response to the Borg threat, the Akira class' unique design made it a standout during the Battle of Sector 001.
This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the Thunderchild's unique forward posture, tucked-in shuttle bay, and connected nacelle structure.

Designer Note
While only briefly battling the Borg alongside the Enterprise-E, the Akira class went on to feature heavily in the Dominion War, offering many different looks at the impressive vessel. This design is its second iteration - boasting better detailing and Dark Bluish Gray color accents.
