Have a vehicle, building, character, or completely original design you'd love to see in bricks? Planes, cars, spacecraft from any universe, landmarks, and personal milestones are all fair game. Every commission is designed from scratch, one brick at a time, and delivered as a complete digital package. Here's how it works:
Design Process
Research: I study as many reference images as I can find, including screenshots, blueprints, photography, and community resources, to get colors, features, and proportions right.
Part Selection: each model is designed digitally in Stud.io with genuine LEGO pieces, chosen for accuracy, solid construction, and availability, which keeps your build cost down.
Designing for Bricks: designing for genuine LEGO parts is a unique puzzle I love to solve. Structural stability, part availability, and element size all shape the design, and sometimes a single piece, like the width of a wheel or a window, sets the scale for the whole model.
How It Works
01 Submit your idea
Use the commission form to tell me what you want built, roughly how big, your budget, and any deadline. Reference pictures and maximum detail are always welcome.
02 Exploration (if needed)
Where scope is unclear (usually models with 1,000+ pieces), a $250 fee, separate from the estimate, covers the design hours needed to nail down size for an accurate estimate.
03 Estimate & scheduling
Once you approve the estimate, I'll send an invoice. 50% of the total is due before work begins to reserve your slot on the design schedule.
04 Design
Work begins in Stud.io with weekly check-ins. Two rounds of revisions based on digital renderings are included. If scope changes significantly, I'll send a new estimate so there are no surprises.
05 Final approval
Before I optimize the parts list and craft the instructions, you confirm the model is finished and ready for production.
06 Delivery
Full payment is due before your digital files are delivered.

Pricing Guidance
Every estimate is based primarily on size, part count, and design complexity, which is why price rises faster than size. A store-bought set splits its design costs across thousands of buyers; your model is designed for one. A slightly smaller scale can make a big difference in cost, so let's talk about it!
If your model might join the MiniTrekMOCs collection, I'm happy to offer a discount.
What's Included
Estimates cover design and digital files only:
- Hand-crafted instructions
- Parts lists for viewing and uploading to BrickLink
- Renderings
- In most cases, a sticker for the display stand
Scope & Ground Rules
What I design: fully custom models made for genuine LEGO bricks, including vehicles, aircraft, buildings and landmarks, sci-fi and fantasy subjects, and your own original concepts. Commissions that could join the MiniTrekMOCs collection may be eligible for a discount.
What I do not design: copies of other builders' work or representations of copyrights or trademarks without the written consent of the copyright or trademark holder(s).

Speed Building
This activation started at STLV as a part of the MiniTrekMOCs exhibit. Convention attendees build a micro-scale (~30 pieces) model of a Trek vessel and are timed. The fastest time of the day gets to take home the mini-scale (~150 pieces) model from the collection.
This is a great way to get people to interact with you on a busy convention floor. Building with LEGO bricks unlocks the simplicity of play and can leave a memorable impression of your brand!
