Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Kelvin Type Starship
“You’re captain now, Mister Kirk.” - Richard Robau
Introduced in the opening minutes of Star Trek (2009), the USS Kelvin NCC-0514 was the birthplace of the Kelvin Timeline's James T. Kirk following the time incursion of Nero. George Kirk took command of the Kelvin to allow the crew to escape the Narada before sacrificing himself and the ship.
This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the Kelvin's single, long nacelle, rounded shuttlebay and deflector dish, and distinct silhouette.

DESIGNER NOTE: The simpler the shape, the more difficult the build at this scale - and the Kelvin is no different. A couple of unique pieces were required to accurately capture the simplicity of two cylinders and a saucer, including 32530 [Technic, Pin Connector Plate 1 x 2 x 1 2/3 with 2 Holes (Double on Top)].
