Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Klingon D7 / K't'inga Class

The first Klingon vessel seen in Star Trek: The Original Series, the Klingon D7 / K't'inga class became a fixture of the Klingon Defense Force in the mid 23rd century. While not the same ship, the similar proportions and design mean at this scale, representing the classes with one model was a logical option.

The D7 and K't'inga classes appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the D7 & K't'inga's angular design, long neck and robust bridges module, and lighted nacelles.

​DESIGNER NOTE: The bridge module of this model was by far the most challenging part of the design. It took quite a few iterations to get the torpedo launcher appropriately tucked in, while also maintaining the curved edge of the section. The result is appropriately rounded and imposing!
