Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Steamrunner Class Starship
"We've just received word from the fleet. They've engaged the Borg." - Deanna Troi
The final of four starships to make their debut in Star Trek: First Contact, the Steamrunner class USS Appalachia NCC-52136 also went on to pop up in many iterations of the franchise including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Picard.
This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the Appalachia's integrated nacelle design, suspended deflector dish, and triangular, sloping primary hull.

DESIGNER NOTE: While every starship is different, the Appalachia presented a number of design challenges including successfully integrating the nacelles into the hull and creating a stable gap in the primary hull section to allow for the necessary shuttle bay door passthrough. The model was also completely redesigned in 2024, with more accurate hull curvature and new tile elements being used to show the angles across the ship's bow.
