Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Borg Cube & Retractable Borg Sphere

"You will be assimilated." - The Borg

This is the largest and most detailed MiniTrekMOCs mode! At 6" cubed (get it?), this imposing structure contrasts beautifully to the gray hues of the sleek Starfleet armada. Plus, it's the only model in the collection with a play feature! Featured extensively throughout Star Trek (especially Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager), this particular cube is closely modeled after the one featured in Star Trek: First Contact - including a retractable Borg Sphere! 

This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the Borg Cube's extensive greebling, with no side being like another, trans-green hull accents, and completely symmetrical shape. The retractable Borg Sphere is also accurate to source material with a flat top and bottom.

​A NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER: A sphere was a must-have feature of the cube, but I wanted to elevate the build experience and completed model with a hidden play feature. It was a challenge, but I couldn't be happier with the result! 

​​The ​Technic mechanism to launch the sphere is hidden inside the cube, and dial to rotate the mechanism is integrated into the panel's greebling. Just turn the dial and launch the sphere!
