Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Klingon D5 Battlecruiser
"It's a lot bigger than the last one. This one's a D5 class battle cruiser." - Malcom Reed
Making several appearances throughout Star Trek: Enterprise, the Klingon D5 Battlecruiser was a formidable vessel that often patrolled Klingon space. Heavily armed, extensively armored, and outfitted with advanced sensors, it was a highly advanced starship until it was rendered obsolete by later vessels like the D7 (MTM-068).
This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the D5's sleek profile, angular head, support struts, and layered main body.

DESIGNER NOTE: The D5 is a beautiful example of fitting in earlier design lineage to an existing set of ships. It takes clear inspiration from the Vor'cha (MTM-070) and D7 (MTM-068) ships, while maintaining 22nd century consistency with the 2153 Bird of Prey (MTM-067). I'm especially proud of the head, mostly thanks to the 4x2 Triple Wedge (43710 and 43711) matching slop angles with the 1x2 Cutout Slope (92946) and the torpedo launcher on the underside.
