Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Son'a Collector & Ru'afo's Flagship

Featured extensively throughout Star Trek: Insurrection, the nefarious Son'a fleet, with the aid of the corrupt Admiral Dougherty nearly succeeded in the forced relocation of the Ba'ku were it not for the Enterprise-E (MTM-007) crew. The Son'a Collector features its iconic sails and the in-scale Son'a Flagship commanded by Ru'afo.


This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures the Son'a Collector's angular and sweeping hull, removable large sails, and display stand for both vessels.

DESIGNER NOTE: Showing the scale of the Collector was an essential part of the build process. From the fish-like main hull to the enormous sails, stability was the primary concern throughout building. The entire weight of the sails rests on the base, giving it essential support despite the single-axle Technic connector. While I considered Trans-Orange pieces for the sails, there simple wasn't enough available pieces to accurately capture the unique shape. Dark Orange was chosen, along with Medium Nougat, to show the gradient color emanating from the sails' deployment arms.
