Custom Star Trek Model Instructions | Starbase 1 (23rd Century)

As seen during Strange New Worlds, Starbase 1 is the primary space station of the Federation in the 23rd century. First appearing in Discovery, the space station was given a slightly updated appearance in Strange New Worlds, where the Enterprise (MTM-032) was seen docked at it frequently.

This detailed model made for LEGO bricks was created to the exact specs of the real thing. It accurately captures Starbase 1's tall spire, hexagonal construction, and multi-colored habitat pods.

DESIGNER NOTE: A general idea for this model has been in my head for over a year, but it turned out to be one of the most technically demanding builds. Getting a hexagonal structure to align with the four-sided spire was a challenge. But, it all came down to the use of the 3x3 trans-clear dome pieces for the habitat pods, which unlocked the proportions of the entire design!
